Underwater Cleanup Dive and Fun Dive with Marine Conservation Philippines at Ducomi Pier, Negros Oriental, Philippines

As a volunteer in Marine Conservation Philippines, we were taught how to do an underwater cleanup . This cleanup was very different from the usual cleanup I've participated in. For this activity, we were assigned roles for the cleanup dive at Ducomi Pier in Negros Oriental, Philippines. One was in charge of picking up trash, another was in charge of holding the mesh bag, and one was in charge of identifying and logging the trash collected. The trash data collected was submitted to Ocean Conservancy. It was a beautiful dive site despite all the trash in the area. I imagine this would even be beautiful at night when all the nocturnal creatures come out. I was a bit bummed that I only had my GoPro for these dives.
